PACT

PACT for Animals provides free foster care to the pets of military personnel and veterans during periods of deployment, training, or to receive medical care. Our nationwide network of approved foster families provides in home care for their animal companions so they can serve or get well knowing that their best friends are safe and loved until they come home.

PACT connects service members and veterans with companion animals who are either being deployed with the US military or experiencing a temporary medical crisis requiring hospitalization with approved volunteer family foster homes to care for their pets while their owners are separated from them. These pets would otherwise be surrendered to animal shelters, where they would either be adopted out to new families or euthanized, never to see their owners again. PACT monitors the experience of the pets and foster families to provide a positive experience to all parties involved. Foster care is free for all individuals who qualify for our programs.
