Help Honor Austin's Legacy

Austin was bom on December 21, 2000, in Grapevine, Texas to his parents, Rodney and Bonnie Salyer. He was an only child. Austin was a Junior at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. During his time at college, he became a brother of the Alpha Sigma Phi-Theta Iota chapter. He had taken oath for service in the Army ROTC where he had planned to graduate and commission as an officer in the US Army. After his military service, he planned {o become a police officer and then join SWAT, which was his ultimate goal. He had a strong desire to serve both his country and his community. Austin was tragically taken when struck by negligent gunfire as he slept in his bed. Austin was a wonderful, fun-loving young man who had a zest for life. The world has lost a gentle, smiling soul.
