Rescue a Dog and Train It to Be a PTSD Service Dog for a Veteran

Every gift to this project rescues a dog and supports the full journey that turns that rescued dog into a PTSD service dog for a veteran. We select dogs with the right temperament for service work and give them the time, training, and support they need. The dog learns to interrupt panic episodes, create space in crowds, wake a veteran from nightmares, and provide calm support in daily life.

Veterans who live with PTSD often struggle with isolation and stress. A trained service dog can help a veteran feel safe enough to take part in everyday activities again. Many veterans describe a trained dog as the partner who helps them sleep better, leave the house with confidence, and rebuild connections with people they care about.
