The Sibling Transformation Project (STP) is a disability justice-rooted initiative focused on centering the needs and experiences of siblings of people with disabilities—particularly Black, Indigenous, and other siblings of color, LGBTQIA+ siblings, and those navigating intergenerational caregiving. Many of us are disabled ourselves, too, and part of our work is shifting our family’s disability narrative to understand our interdependence with each other. Our work exists at the intersection of healing justice, mutual aid, and sibling solidarity, offering spaces that promote emotional well-being, collective care, and anti-ableist education. STP creates pathways for siblings to reclaim their needs, find community, and deepen their understanding of access and equity—not only as supporters, but also as people deserving of care.
