San Diego, CaliforniaThe mission of Next Step Service Dogs (NSSD) is to renew the lives of Veterans and First Responders with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and/or Military Sexual Trauma through the training and placement of highly trained service dogs.
Based in Escondido California in San Diego County. Exceptionally beneficial in helping clients with PTSD, traumatic brain injury and military sexual trauma, the training program typically trains each dog/client team 3 times a week, up to 6 months, creating a deep bond and communication. Service dog tasks include retrieving and finding objects, interrupting panic attacks, and giving reminders of when to take medications.
