TALISMAN THERAPEUTIC RIDING

Talisman serves families from throughout Maryland, northern Virginia, Delaware and Washington, DC. We work with all individuals including those who have physical, cognitive, social, emotional and behavioral conditions. The popularity and diversity of our programs offers all with abilities and disabilities to find peace, healing, therapy, companionship, affirmation and connection through horses . We operate several programs including: Heroes on Horses (for warriors, veterans and first responders); TheraPony (for children ages 3-10); Young Adult and Adult Therapeutic Riding, TTRiding (for At-Risk" tweens and teens); StableFamily (for the entire family unit); and Hippotherapy (lessons include a Physical or Occupational Therapist or a Speech Language Pathologist). Financial need scholarships are critical for majority of our riders. Our youngest rider is three years old and our oldest rider is in his eighties. We operate year-round through donations, grants, fundraisers and corporate sponsorships.
