IDAHO TRAILS ASSOCIATION

Idaho Trails Association (ITA) facilitates the active enjoyment of Idaho's public lands and hiking trails. ITA brings together volunteers and develops partnerships to foster caretaking of Idaho's hiking trails through stewardship projects, including trail construction and maintenance. Developing traditional trail maintenance skills and teaching these to the public along with an understanding and appreciation, through education of Idaho's unique trail resources, is ITA's focus, along with preservation, protection and access to Idaho's hiking trails through outreach and advocacy.
ITA partners with public land managers to provide volunteers to help maintain non-motorized trails on public lands, working with them to plan and schedule work parties to help maintain trails, while providing the training, safety and coordination of volunteers. These volunteers come from all walks of life, all ages, and all stature in the communities. ITA provides the opportunity for the public to get involved and give back to help maintain our public lands.
