Eats 4 The Streets, Inc. is urgently seeking support for children and families experiencing homelessness, sudden housing instability, and financial crisis.
No child should have to worry about where they will sleep, whether they will have enough food to eat, or whether they can go to school with the basic necessities they need. Unfortunately, many families facing homelessness or sudden hardship are forced to make impossible choices between food, temporary shelter, transportation, clothing, and other essential needs.
The Emergency Children & Family Stability Fund was created to provide immediate assistance when families with children are facing a crisis and need help quickly. This emergency support can help address critical needs while families work toward safety and long term stability.
EMERGENCY SUPPORT MAY HELP PROVIDE:
• Emergency food and nutritious meals for children and families
• Temporary lodging or emergency shelter assistance when available
• Children's clothing, shoes, and essential personal items
• Hygiene and personal care supplies
• Diapers, wipes, and other age-appropriate necessities
• Transportation to school, medical appointments, work, or essential services
• Emergency school supplies and educational necessities
• Beds, bedding, and basic household items for families moving into safe housing
• Essential supplies for children entering temporary or transitional housing
WHY THIS IS URGENT
A housing crisis can affect every part of a child's life. Children experiencing homelessness may face interruptions in school, lack access to nutritious food, struggle without clean clothing or hygiene supplies, and experience the instability of moving from place to place.
