Mission Statement
The Eats 4 The Streets Pathway To Housing Program provides safe, structured transitional housing and supportive services for veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, people in recovery, and formerly incarcerated individuals. Our mission is to move people from crisis to stability by providing food, housing, supportive services, and a pathway to permanent independence.

Founder Story

Eats 4 The Streets was founded because I could not ignore the suffering I witnessed in my own community.
While serving meals to people experiencing homelessness in Orlando, I met men, women, veterans, older adults, and even children who were struggling not only with hunger but also with serious medical conditions, mental health challenges, and the lack of a safe place to sleep.
One day, I met a man who was very ill, vomiting on the side of the road in the Florida heat. I gave him food and several bottles of water. He looked at me and simply said, "Thank you. I'm going to be okay." That moment stayed with me. As I continued serving meals, I realized that food was meeting an immediate need, but many people needed much more. They needed safety, stability, medical care, support, and a place they could call home.
My heart is especially drawn to veterans who served our country and now find themselves living on the streets. It is difficult to hear their stories and know they are sleeping outside after giving so much in service to others.
I also work in the nursing field, where I see older adults who have care, shelter, and support. At the same time, I see elderly individuals living outside without family, without treatment, and sometimes without the ability to care for themselves because of medical or mental health conditions. I believe every person deserves dignity and a safe place to live.
That is why I created Eats 4 The Streets as a nonprofit organization. My goal is not only to feed people but also to help them rebuild their lives through the Pathway Home Program, providing transitional housing, supportive services, and hope for a better future.
I believe everyone deserves a second chance and that one act of compassion can change a life.
Program Description
The Pathway To Housing Program is a supportive housing initiative created by Eats 4 The Streets, Inc. to provide safe, structured transitional housing for adult men, including veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, people recovering from substance use disorders, and formerly incarcerated individuals seeking a fresh start.
Residents will receive:
Safe, furnished housing
Case management
Employment assistance
Financial literacy training
Life-skills coaching
Recovery support
Transportation assistance
Healthcare and mental health referrals
Permanent housing placement assistance
First-Year Goals
Open one fully furnished transitional home.
Serve up to 10 residents at one time.
Provide meals, case management, and supportive services.
Connect residents with employment, healthcare, education, and recovery resources.
Help residents transition into permanent housing.
Build partnerships with local service providers and employers.
Funding Priorities
Grant funding will be used for:
Lease and security deposit
First-year rent
Beds and bedroom furniture
Living room and dining room furniture
Kitchen equipment and supplies
Security cameras and safety equipment
Utilities and internet
Food and hygiene supplies
Transportation assistance
House management and case management
Program operations
Long-Term Vision
The long-term vision of Eats 4 The Streets is to develop multiple Pathway Home residences throughout Central Florida that provide housing, hope, and supportive services for veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, people in recovery, formerly incarcerated individuals, women, and families.
