Language Connect connects displaced individuals with volunteer conversation partners for one-to-one language practice and integration support.
For many people rebuilding their lives after displacement, language barriers make it difficult to access education, employment, and everyday services. Regular conversation practice helps participants build confidence, improve communication skills, and navigate daily life in new environments.
Language practice is delivered virtually and is flexible, allowing volunteers and participants to agree on schedules that work for them. Volunteers act as conversation partners rather than teachers, supporting practical language use through informal, real-world conversation.
Donations to this project support programme coordination, safeguarding, and ongoing operation, ensuring that participation remains free for learners.
Language Connect is operated by The Educational Equality Institute as part of its education and integration support for displaced communities.
