WARRIOR SAILING INC

Warrior Sailing is a nationwide program that teaches wounded, ill, and injured veterans how to sail, it is NOT a boat ride. All Warrior Sailors start with a 3-day intensive Basic Training Camp. Grads can go on to earn certifications, participate in racing and learn other marine trade skills. Participants are taught by professional coaches specially trained on techniques and equipment adapted to meet the needs of veterans with disabilities. Sailing is a natural outlet for veterans to express teamwork, their competitive drive and to find the camaraderie they miss from their time in service. It is a unique sport allowing people who have a variety of disabilities to participate and compete together alongside their able-bodied peers. For veterans with disabilities, sailing provides physical, mental and emotional therapy.
