The NSBA Foundation recognizes the importance of our youth establishing strong volunteer roots at an early age. This award rewards NSBA youth who spend time volunteering in their community. In addition to providing an award for the winner, the NSBA Foundation makes a $500 donation to the charity of the winner’s choice in the winner’s name.
In 2021, a recognition scholarship was established with the Susan Scott Memorial Fund to award a $4,000 scholarship to the annual award winner. Additionally in 2022, another donation allows 4 national finalists to receive a $1,000 stipend.
The purpose of the National Snaffle Bit Association Foundation is to define, promote, and support charitable programs that foster the well-being and healing of people through:
1.their relationships with horses,
2.care for members of the National Snaffle Bit Association in a time of crisis,
3.foster the education and leadership of horsemen and horsewomen,
4.enhance the welfare of show horses, and
5. any other program that aligns with the ideals of the National Snaffle Bit Association and the Foundation.
