VETERAN HOUSING CORP

Veteran Housing Corp was founded in 2009 by Reydel Santos, the former Affordable Housing Director for Miami Rescue Mission. During his tenure at Miami Rescue Mission, Reydel Santos became acutely aware of the large numbers of veterans who were homeless and living in emergency shelters and it was then that Santos decide to "help one veteran at a time" by providing them with safe, decent and affordable housing alternatives. Although the organization is based out of South Florida, it expanded its services to Ocala, Florida, and surrounding communities, as well as Long Beach, California. Veteran Housing Corp receives no federal, state, or local government funding or grants. Veteran Housing Corp has maintained an all volunteer staff since its founding and all of the monies received by the organization are invested back into providing additional housing units for veterans in need or at risk of homelessness.
