For 40+ years, nourish.NJ has worked to create lasting solutions to hunger, homelessness, and poverty in our community. What began as a grassroots soup kitchen in Morristown has grown into a year-round, no-cost resource offering healthy food, housing support, job readiness, and access to health and social services—all in a welcoming environment.

Our services are free of charge, no questions asked. We start with food—served in person to build trust—and then help individuals access housing, financial assistance, and lasting solutions.

All of our programs are privately funded by individuals, companies, and foundations, with no government support. Through strong partnerships, targeted services, and advocacy, we provide Morris County’s most comprehensive response to hunger and its root causes.

We serve low-income individuals and families, including seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, immigrants, and those experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Our services support a diverse population, with many guests identifying as Latino, Black, and other communities of color who face systemic barriers to food access, healthcare, and stable housing.
