CENTER FOR TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION INC

Through it's TechWorks! initiative to inspire ingenuity and multi-generational pioneering mindsets, the Center for Technology and Innovation collects and presents a broad swath of inventions and technologies from Central New York State. Artifacts in Action are a f variety ooperational equipment for visitor use - including Flight simulators for training WWII, Apollo Mission, and today's helicopter pilots; Vintage IBM Computing Center mainframes and printers, Link nickelodeon and player pianos, 3D imaging from Civil War stereoscopes to VR headsets, emboss messages in Braille, and play classic video games on original consoles. Workshops in Python and Unity for coding video games are offered for teens and adults.

The Center's is embarking on creating a family-friendly visitor destination - easily accessible for teens, SUNY Broome and Binghamton University students to pair with industry veterans in understanding the How and Why of technology and in solving problems.
