“Over the course of one stormy night, Kream, Bobby, and their two friends Starry and Alexa recall and share traumatic tales of pain and fear they've endured by the hands of neighborhood bully Big Mike - the same person who shot Kream in a drive-by. Stories of assault, robbery, and wrongdoing. The majority of the room believes Kream should get revenge on Big Mike for his constant reign of violent terror on the community, but Kream feels otherwise. Kream's near-death experience from the drive-by has sparked a profound empathy and spirituality within. "We're all God's children", he replies. This newly discovered self-righteousness only frustrates his younger brother Bobby even more as he feels betrayed by his older brother who raised him to be "hard".
As the thunderstorm outside worsens and the power goes out, so does the tension in the room and Bobby's desire for revenge. In one final serendipitous moment, Bobby decides to take matters into his own hands as destiny’s cosmic design is revealed.
