Art Beyond the Ink aims to cultivate creative thinking, inspire storytelling, and transform aural perception by pairing live music with other art forms. Founded in 2020, our work is fueled by the belief that every piece of music tells a story. By tapping into those stories, we believe that audiences can become empowered to join in the creative process as listeners. We encourage you to explore stories in everything you hear. Art Beyond the Ink holds interactive presentations and events in and around New York City. Audience members are invited to share their ideas for the music played, and those ideas are brought to life on-the-spot with improvisational artists from a variety of disciplines. Musicians team up with actors, dancers and more to bring to life what’s beyond the musical ink!
