My purpose is to create an outlet for independent creative music and cross-discipline artistic collaborations. Through the use of a new web based model designed for independent artists, my project is a series of ongoing composing, recording and educational projects. Utlilizing the latest technology available, Artist Share (for more info. Visit ArtistShare.com) allows for multiple, creative ways to share and distribute artistic work, as well as the creative process with people all around the world. The first project of the series is called the "Venezuelan Project". It consists of the documentation and recording of the "Venezuelan Jazz Suite" - commissioned by Chamber Music America. í¢â‚¬Å“Venezuelan Jazz Suiteí¢â‚¬ is a piece which explores the marriage between Venezuelan folk music and jazz. Future projects will include, Simon, Simon & Simon, a collaboration between my two talented brothers and I, a solo piano album, the Edward Simon Trio Live and many more.
