Cape Cod & Islands Council, Boy Scouts of America

Scouting America, formerly known as Boy Scouts of America has been serving youth for over 100 years with values-based programs based on the principles found in the Scout Oath and Law. At the core of these values is the individual’s duty to God, to country, to others and to self. Cape Cod & Islands Council works through community organizations such as churches, civic and fraternal groups and veteran’s organizations to provide these age appropriate values-based programs for boys and young men and women to prepare these young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. This is accomplished through direct support of volunteer leaders through training and professional staff guidance and indirectly through activities, camping programs, and support from the National organization. Through the combined experience of the Scouting America programs and the almost 600 local volunteers the Cape Cod & Islands Council served almost 1,000 youth in 2023.
