Rose’s Bounty seeks to serve those living with food insecurity with four programs: (1) a twice monthly food pantry serving all ages, (2) the Chittick backpack program delivers healthy food for low-income elementary school children in Mattapan to bring home on the weekends and school vacations, (3) weekly food delivery to low income and homeless veterans and (4) a weekly food distribution program serving older individuals unable to attend the monthly food pantry.
Our recipient partner organizations are made up of administrators and social workers from the Veterans Administration, social workers, administration, and teachers from the Chittick Elementary School, and the Director and staff of Awakenings, an Adult Day care in West Roxbury.
However, the core of our work is most reliant on volunteers! This partner list includes the members of the Stratford Street United Church, West Roxbury/Roslindale individual community members, administrators and students from the Catholic Memorial School, the Roslindale/West Roxbury Rotary Club, the Kiwanis, administration and students of Dexter Southfield School, leadership and students of the Holy Name Youth Service Project, Clergy and parishioners of Local Churches, Garden Club members, and more are among the long list of partner volunteers.
