Our mission is to bring families to Lakeside Village, the Ocean Avenue
commercial corridor between 19th Avenue and Junipero Serra Blvd. As part of this, we
have won grants to invest in beautification such as many murals on walls previously
blighted by graffiti. In creating every mural, resident artist Mike Ritch has organized
volunteer days open to everyone from preschoolers to their grandparents. We plan to
continue organizing free events such as our “Spring Hop” on April 19, 2025, where
Gregangelo Museum entertainers were the heart and soul of the fun for kids, and over
1,200 people signed up via Eventbrite. We have hosted several “art walks” that included
working with the art coordinator at SFUSD Commodore Sloat and small businesses to
host small gallery pop-ups. Art fairs and crafts events have also been very popular.
