Hospice of the East Bay

Hospice care is directed by the patient's own doctor or one of our hospice physicians. Hospice benefits patients by relieving pain and managing complex symptoms such as shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting or anxiety and offering consistent emotional, practical, and spiritual support. All medications and equipment related to the illness are supplied.
Hospice makes it possible for patients to retain control over their medical and personal choices. Our staff provides care in the comfort, privacy, and familiarity of home.
If symptoms are acute and the highest level of care is needed, Hospice of the East Bay patients have the option of receiving short term care at our premiere inpatient facility, Bruns House.
Since 1977, we have been privileged to care for more than 20,000 patients and their families.
