The Lone Star Heroes Duck FOB is an ongoing project operated by Lone Star Heroes Outdoors, a veteran founded nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting military veterans, first responders, and their families through outdoor experiences.
The Duck FOB serves as our dedicated duck lease and base of operations for waterfowl hunts and outdoor fellowship events. Located in North Texas, this property allows us to host multiple hunts each season, providing heroes with a safe and welcoming place to reconnect with nature, find peace, and build lasting friendships.
Each hunt and event held at the Duck FOB is completely free to our participants. However, maintaining the lease requires ongoing funding for land management, blinds, decoys, equipment, lodging, and travel support for attending heroes.
The purpose of the Duck FOB project is to ensure that veterans and first responders have year round access to a place designed specifically for healing, camaraderie, and the shared love of the outdoors. It is more than just a hunting lease—it is a space where stories are shared, burdens are lifted, and lives are changed.
Through donations, sponsorships, and volunteer support, we are able to keep the Duck FOB running strong and continue our mission of honoring service through service.
