EVERY NUMBER TELLS A STORY
In December 2024, more than 230,000 U.S. military veterans were unemployed.
Every single day, 18 to 22 veterans die by suicide—a devastating reality that ripples through families, communities, and the military brotherhood.
Behind each number is a person who once wore the uniform. A hero.
Now they face joblessness, isolation, depression, and a crushing loss of identity.
These are not just statistics. These are lives. And we are losing them—every single day.
A NEW SOLUTION TO AN OLD PROBLEM
Each year, over 200,000 service members transition out of the military. Many struggle to find careers that offer purpose, stability, and growth.
Traditional programs focus mostly on job placement—matching veterans to civilian roles that resemble their military experience. But this narrow focus often backfires, with up to 75% of veterans leaving their new roles within two years. Why?
Because these jobs rarely address skill gaps, cultural mismatch, and loss of purpose.
VETS – Beyond The Uniform (VETS-BTU) is different.
We don’t just help veterans find jobs—we help them build meaningful careers. We empower both veterans and military spouses through a comprehensive, no-cost transformation journey designed for long-term success.

Our services are 100% free and include:
Personalized assessments and 1-on-1 coaching

Resume development and employment referrals
We offer support virtually and in person—locally, nationally, and globally.
OUR IMPACT: 4 CRITICAL AREAS
Veteran Unemployment
Many veterans accept the first job they can find—often a poor fit, leading to burnout or failure. We build the skills and confidence needed to pursue careers that match their true strengths and aspirations.
Military Spouse Underemployment
Frequent relocations and limited training opportunities leave many spouses underemployed or out of work. We offer tailored coaching and upskilling programs that enable them to pursue fulfilling, portable careers.
Veteran Suicide Risk
Prolonged unemployment increases mental health risks like depression and isolation. By restoring purpose through meaningful employment, we help reduce suicide risk and support long-term well-being.
Working-Age Dependents
Dependents of active-duty or veteran service members—such as adult children or family caregivers—often face career delays or limited access to training. We extend support to these individuals, helping them gain critical skills, certifications, and career pathways that build family-wide stability and resilience.
