The 2nd Mission Recovery House is a pioneering sober living environment specifically designed for military veterans with PTSD and Substance Use Disorder located in Jacksonville, Duval County Florida. Our mission aims to establish a tranquil, safe, and supportive environment for veterans to heal and overcome PTSD, trauma, and substance use. To connect our veterans to each other and wrap-around services and benefits that they need and/or are entitled too that will ensure whole-vet recovery and pathways towards sustainability and purpose.
What sets 2nd Mission apart is its comprehensive approach to recovery, operated by the Addiction Education Foundation Inc., seeking DCF and FARR (Florida Association of Recovery Residence) certification. This veteran only facility will provide a nurturing, home-like setting where residents gain strength through brotherhood, integrating formal therapies and counseling with animal therapy, twelve-step programs, and peer support that address the deep-seated wounds of war and service along with employment and educational assistance towards long-term recovery, self-sufficiency, and sustainability.
