Special Operations Forces Gold Star Families Once a year, we bring a Special Operations Gold Star Family to Bedford, VA—not to mourn, but to honor. We cover everything. We take them into the mountains, through our rivers, and into our hearts. For one week, we rewrite grief into connection, powered by a community that refuses to forget. This isn’t your local 5K. The Hero Games is a 6–8 hour crucible built on sweat, grit, and purpose. Twelve-person teams grind through a course inspired by real Special Operations training. Every step is for the fallen. Their family is here. Sometimes, they’re in the fight too. You don’t just compete—you carry a legacy.

Hero Games Charity is a nonprofit organization that honors fallen Special Operations soldiers by supporting their Gold Star Families. Through immersive, team-based endurance events, Hero Games challenges everyday citizens to step into the shoes of America’s elite—building grit, unity, and reverence along the way. Each event tells the story of a fallen warrior, blending physical obstacles with real-world mission scenarios to educate, inspire, and raise critical funds for those left behind. 100% of proceeds go toward family support, scholarships, and legacy preservation.
