The Brickyard is a national civic and service organization on a mission to unite the country and strengthen communities through social gatherings, service, and civic connection. Founded and led by veterans, we welcome all Americans — across backgrounds, beliefs, and political lines — united by the conviction that strong communities are built through action, not argument.
Across the country, the bonds that hold us together are wearing thin. The Brickyard was built to address this directly. We bring people together in real places, work side by side on things that matter, and build the kind of trust that only comes from showing up together over time. Our model is simple: social gatherings that create space for real relationships, service projects that connect neighbors to each other and their communities, and civic programming that develops the local leaders every community needs.
Today, The Brickyard operates 36 chapters across 22 states with more than 36,000 members nationwide. Our chapters are led by volunteer captains who organize events and service in their cities and towns, supported by a national team and a shared model proven to build lasting civic engagement. We also run Civic Valor, a youth leadership initiative connecting young people ages 14–26 with veterans and community leaders to develop the next generation of civic leaders.
We don't ask people to agree on everything. We ask them to show up. Building a stronger nation, together.
