With funding from the City of Sacramento Measure U grants, we are implementing a new educational program based on the success of our Progressive Game Jam series called PGJ ED or Progressive Game Jam - Educational Edition. This program will teach high school age students how to develop a video game to include a variety of STEAM based skills that are a part of game development (e.g., physics, math, animation, etc.)
The grant helps pay for the curriculum development, equipment, and teacher salaries, but it is a restricted grant and only serves a targeted area within the City of Sacramento. We are looking for additional funding to bring this program to other areas in the region.
