VALOR RANCH

Valor Ranch was established to address the critical and growing need for safe, stable, and trauma informed support for women veterans transitioning into civilian life. Many of our SHEROES face complex challenges including homelessness or unsafe housing, financial hardship, military sexual trauma, social isolation, and significant barriers to accessing veteran specific services. Our mission is to ensure they never have to navigate those challenges alone.

Who We Serve
We primarily support women veterans across the Nation. Many of the women who come to us are economically disadvantaged, experiencing financial instability, underemployment, or difficulties accessing VA benefits. Our programs are intentionally inclusive—serving veterans of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, physical abilities, and languages. Every veteran is met with dignity, respect, and culturally responsive support.

Our Programs & Services
1. Transitional Housing – Home of the Sheroes (HOS)
We provide safe, stable housing and a structured support environment where women veterans can focus on healing and rebuilding their lives. Our participants engage in:
• Trauma informed mental health therapy-Virtual or connected with local therapist
• Financial workshops
• Employment and education support
• Life skills development
• Community building and peer support
The long term impact is reflected in the progress of women such as M.C., who entered the program in 2024 and—through therapy, financial workshops, and advocacy—has increased her VA rating, paid down debt, and is now on track to purchase land for her home.

2. The Healing Garden (launched 2023)
This program provides fresh food assistance to more than 5,000 families across North Texas. It also functions as a hands on training center, where veterans and community members learn aquaponic and hydroponic gardening. Many find the work therapeutic, and the skill building aspect helps restore confidence, purpose, and connection.

3. GAP – General Assistance Program (launched 2025)
GAP extends our reach statewide by providing urgent financial assistance to veterans across Texas. This includes help with rent, mortgage payments, utilities, transportation, and other essentials. The program has been transformative for veterans experiencing crisis—like K.S., who was living in her car when she reached out. Through GAP and HOS, she secured housing, attended workshops, and is now saving toward purchasing a home.

Connecting Veterans to Additional Resources & Advocacy
Beyond our direct services, Valor Ranch actively connects veterans to:
• VA benefits and claims support
• Mental health providers and trauma specialists for veterans and families
• Employment and education partners
• Community organizations and veteran specific programs
• Legal assistance, housing navigation, and financial counseling

We also advocate on their behalf when navigating complex systems—whether it’s communicating with the VA, coordinating with community partners, counseling, or employment resources. Our role is not only to support them onsite, but to ensure they have access to the full network of services that empower long term stability and independence.
