River City Advocacy's foundation program since 2001 has been Peer Support for those who seek help from others who have lived experience. Our Therapeutic Art Center also promotes health and healing by providing a safe space for those seeking a creative outlet to help process trauma. Peer support normalizes shared experiences and reduces stigma around mental health challenges, while art-based practices provide healthy outlets for emotional expression and self-reflection. Help us continue this program and ensure it stays as a service to Comal and surrounding counties now that the state funding has been reduced.
