Hooves on the Ground is a program for veterans, active duty, or emergency personnel suffering from PTSD or life difficulties from their service to our community. These men and women not only are able to interact with horses and find peace and purpose but they also have access to a hotline they can call to talk to our staff when needed.
Weekly courses in horsemanship provide the opportunity to develop a trusting relationship with a horse, learn skills in controlling emotions, and experience the positive adrenaline rush so many veterans crave. The morning ends with a free lunch provided where they swap war stories and tell tales of their favorite weapons.
We are seeing more and more men and women in our HOTG program. This is a lifeline for some of them. Forming relationships with in the program. Coming together for friendship and support. In 2024 we've seen the completion of our pavilion for our veterans to gather and fellowship. We also started the process of becoming a rally point with Eagle Ops! We are so excited about this!!!
