Today, the sad truth is thousands of wounded, sick or disabled veterans are lying in hospitals across the country wondering if they will ever get well again, sitting at home in isolation, searching for hope amid their pain and suffering. When gift-giving is customary, WVUG provides Holiday cheer and gifts to alleviate the discomforts of our hospitalized & community veterans and bring fun, joy, love and the extended family feel for the holidays. We also support our Women programs in the communities. This program has been ongoing since 2009 and is for the purpose of providing gifts for the holiday season. Military Veterans are provided gifts such as but not limited to bras, underwear, gift cards, pajamas, linen, and hygiene items. Providing gifts for community veterans, incarcerated veterans, hospitalized veterans, children/families, gift cards, food cards, household needs, coats, and blankets, etc. as needed. There are gifts for veterans with children (as needed), such as teddy bears, toys, gift cards etc.
