Founded by Wes Geer, founding member of Hed PE and former touring guitarist with Korn, Rock to Recovery brings the healing power of music to people in treatment for addiction, trauma, and mental health issues.
We are part of the weekly treatment program of more than 100 facilities in California, Oregon, Washington and Tennessee.
We also have a contract with the Department of Defense to serve veterans and their families nationally and internationally through the Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) program, and the Navy's wounded warrior resiliency program. Our service to veterans includes working in VA hospitals, spinal injury units, and with those who have experienced trauma and/or traumatic brain injury.
Our 15 program administrators deliver more than 500 sessions each month. Our program administrators are all in recovery, to help individuals see and experience that recovery is possible.
We work with more than 3,000 people each month and have written more than 20,000 songs with people in treatment.
Rock to Recovery works with veterans, youth, and those working to overcome addiction, trauma, and a variety of mental health issues.
We work in drug court programs, addiction treatment centers, mental health facilities, residential youth facilities, juvenile justice centers, drop-in shelters, facilities for mothers with young children…anywhere there is a need for the healing power of music.
Beginning in 2020, we expanded to include virtual services, which has allowed us to provide music programming to people in rural areas or facilities in small towns that would not otherwise have access to music programming.
Your support of our 501c3 allows us to provide services to an ever-expanding number of organizations in more areas of the country.
