The Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation, established in 2012, has at the heart of its cause, the mission to improve the lives of Veterans, Service Members and their families. Since inception, the Foundation has been staffed 100% by volunteers consisting of warriors and patriotic citizens who have a passion for delivering gratitude, respect, honor, and healing to those who serve.
Over the last decade, the Foundation conducted the Liberty Campaign to design, build and dedicate The Flame of Liberty Memorial located in the heart of the Town of Los Gatos in Silicon Valley, California. Memorials deliver gratitude, honor and meaning to those who've served. They can often be the catalyst towards healing. And memorials educate 24/7. The Veterans Foundation chose to build a Silicon Valley Veterans Memorial for the intrinsic benefits that it delivers to the community, to Silicon Valley Veterans and to their families.
About The Flame of Liberty Memorial -
The Flame of Liberty Memorial is a tribute to the men and women who have honorably served America in the United States Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines, and their contributions in support of natural disaster recovery, humanitarian aid, and in defense of America’s freedom. The Memorial recognizes First Responders who often combine forces with the United States military in playing a pivotal role in homeland security. And finally, The Flame of Liberty Memorial recognizes local 9/11 heroes aboard United Flight 93 - Todd Beamer and Mark Bingham - who attempted to regain cockpit control from terrorist hijackers. Flight 93 was the only hijacked airliner on 9/11 that did not accomplish the terrorists' plan. The extraordinary acts of Todd Beamer, Mark Bingham and the passengers aboard United Flight 93 are distinguished as their successful civilian counterattack on that day was the beginning of the defense against global terror. Their courageous execution prevented hijackers from reaching their intended target - the United States Capitol Building, which, if victorious, would have devastated the heartbeat of America’s government. Additionally, their execution safeguarded the lives of
innocent Washingtonians on the ground.
The Los Gatos Town Council approved a donation of land use for placement of The Flame of Liberty Memorial in addition to its conceptual design crafted by the nationally acclaimed Master Designer Frank Kocian Morris.*

The Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation accomplishes the goals it sets out to achieve. The Veterans Foundation entity was filed on October 4, 2012. It submitted its application for non-profit 501(c)(3) consideration to the IRS in early December, 2012- which the IRS turned around and granted 60+ calendar days later in record time. In December 2018, the Veterans Foundation finalized its building plans for the memorial. A Ground breaking ceremony was held on January 4 2019, and six months later, the Foundation unveiled the memorial in the presence of GEN H.R. McMaster, 26th National Security Advisor to the President, U.S. Military dignitaries, state and local representatives, entertainers, and 1500 members of the general public.
