SAN DIEGO FLEET WEEK FOUNDATION

Fleet Week San Diego is an annual event that takes place every fall. Our goals have been and continue to be honoring and celebrating our military and providing opportunities for the public to interact with and express their appreciation to the active duty Sailors, Marines and Coastguardsmen.
Our partners include the US Navy, US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard along with our sponsors and volunteers. The three sea services assist us in reaching out to the active duty service members. Our corporate and community sponsors help financially and also by participating in and attending our events. Our volunteers contribute time and talent to organize and continually improve our program of events.
Fleet Week San Diego takes place for one week in the fall each year, although we are active year-round working with other organizations, fundraising, planning, and participating in community events.
We rely on our corporate and community sponsors for long-term funding. We have broadened our support base beyond the defense industry and continue to seek new areas of income. The military in our region has an enormous economic impact that spans many industries and we are working to garner more support throughout the county.
The San Diego Week Foundation is designed to reinforce to our active duty the value our region places on their service to the country and to provide an opportunity for the public to interact with our military personnel and learn more about what they do.
