In 2017 the Japanese Friendship Garden was flooded, causing large scale damage to the Koi ponds, the Japanese Tea House and to the filtration system linking all of the ponds. This restoration fund is aimed at providing support for various areas of need, including supporting the safety and welfare of the Koi, as well as repairing features of the park.
