ADVOCATES FOR BASIC LEGAL EQUALITY
TOLEDO, OhioABLE and its partner firm LAWO work together to provide comprehensive legal representation, advice, and information to help protect the constitutional rights and to improve the lives of those who need their help the most. The civil legal problems of low-income people involve essential human needs, such as safe and affordable housing, protection from domestic abuse, and access to healthcare and educational opportunities. LAWO and ABLE provide access to free legal help for those who find themselves at risk of eviction or foreclosure, who have had their veteran or public benefits denied, or those who need help in protecting their livelihoods, their health, or their families.
Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the purpose of serving disadvantaged people in the communities we serve. All donations made to ABLE or to our partner organization Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO) are tax deductible per the IRS code.
