The program focuses on the role of suicide risk screening in suicide prevention among Veterans receiving legal and financial services though VSOs, mitigation of risk with the Columbia Protocol/Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS; Posner et al. 2011) and dissemination of materials in support of universal screening of Veterans by the VSOs (e.g., distributing thousands of portable cards with the right questions to help reach millions of Veterans).
