As an essential housing and human services provider in New York City, Breaking Ground serves homeless, formerly homeless, and very low-income individuals and families - all populations that are most vulnerable to and most likely to be impacted by the spread of COVID-19. Help us protect our staff (nearly 600-strong), clients and tenants (more than 8,000 men, women and children) during this public health crisis. Your gifts will help us continue to provide outreach on the streets to unsheltered individuals, help our very low-income tenants who will be most affected by the economic fall out of the crisis, and help our more than 1,300 senior tenants who will struggle to access basic needs like cleaning supplies, groceries, and routine health care.
