Multilingual Nutrition Outreach for Connecticut Families
チャリティ活動名 END HUNGER CONNECTICUT INCEnd Hunger Connecticut! is expanding multilingual nutrition outreach to ensure that families across the state can access and understand critical food resources. In Connecticut, 1 in 7 residents experiences hunger, and language barriers continue to prevent many eligible households from successfully accessing programs like SNAP. Thousands of families, particularly in immigrant and multilingual communities, face challenges navigating applications, understanding eligibility, and accessing nutrition information that supports their health and well-being.
This project focuses on developing and distributing culturally relevant, multilingual materials and conducting direct outreach in communities where language access remains a barrier. End Hunger Connecticut!’s SNAP Call Center assists up to 13,000 residents annually and helps complete approximately 4,000 SNAP applications, demonstrating both the scale of need and the impact of targeted support.
Support for this project helps close access gaps, increases successful enrollment in food assistance programs, and ensures that more families can consistently access healthy, affordable food across Connecticut.
