Ending Hunger for Children & Families in Connecticut
チャリティ活動名 END HUNGER CONNECTICUT INCEnd Hunger Connecticut! works to ensure that children and families across the state have consistent access to healthy, affordable food. In Connecticut, 1 in 7 residents and 1 in 6 children experience food insecurity, with even higher rates among Black and Hispanic children. Through SNAP outreach, nutrition education, and community-based partnerships, the organization connects residents to critical resources that support long-term health, stability, and success.
Barriers such as cost, transportation, and limited access to healthy food options continue to prevent many households from securing reliable meals. End Hunger Connecticut! addresses these challenges through direct assistance, multilingual outreach, and education that helps families navigate systems and access the resources available to them. Each year, the organization’s SNAP Call Center supports more than 13,000 residents and assists with approximately 4,000 SNAP applications.
Contributions to this project expand access to food assistance, strengthen local food systems, and ensure that more children and families across Connecticut can consistently access the healthy food they need to thrive.
