At Sanborn Elementary, we believe that every child is unique, loveable and capable of success. This belief is supported by the commitment of all staff taking responsibility for each child's character development and academic growth. It is our mission to create a community of learners where each child develops a sense of self worth, respects others, and appreciates the world in which they live. Students consistently score above national averages on tests, and achieve recognition at state and national competitions. Sanborn staff understands that all students do not learn the same way or at the same rate, but know that all students can learn and be successful. Many systems are in place to support our students and ensure that they are able to reach their full potential. Support structures in place include a peer-peer buddy program, a staff-student mentoring program, multi-age social friendship groups, grade level homework clubs, and before and after school tutoring. These programs are designed to assist our children by supporting their abilities and meeting their individual learning needs.
