Mountain Valor travels to rural hospitals, clinics, libraries, long-term care centers, and community spaces across western and central Virginia to meet veterans and their families where they actually live. Many of these communities have limited transportation, scarce VA presence, and poor internet — so veterans often go years without the benefits or care they earned.
We sit down with each veteran one-on-one to help them enroll in VA healthcare, navigate disability claims, access caregiver programs, understand survivor benefits, and plan for the future. This work reduces isolation, increases access to care, and makes sure rural veterans are not forgotten.
