Dangerous Women is a diverse collective of female (and some male) artists based in the center of Washington State. We bring the histories of remarkable women and feminine archetypes to life on stage. We also create and present collateral work like visual art shows and are in the process of creating school curriculum based on on most recent theatrical production, Unsettled.
Our performers, writers and crew are risk takers and leaders. Pooling our talents, we present one-of-a-kind, original productions that utilize a rainbow of art forms including dance, visual art, spoken word and music. From the Library of Congress and local historical sources, we commonly project large historic images as a backdrop for live theater events. Over 75 cast/crew/creators have taken part in Dangerous Women since inception in 2016. For the last five years, all shows have sold out to standing ovations.
Dangerous Women's mission is to bring the forgotten or suppressed stories of women and feminine archetypes to life on stage with the purpose of enlightening, entertaining and empowering all people regardless of race, gender or political persuasion.
