2026 Christmas "Trees Of Hope," Annual Christmas Tree & Backpack Giveaway

The Trees of Hope" initiative, Is aimed at bringing holiday joy to deserving and needy families across our chapter areas nationwide. This year, the foundation will ship live, undecorated Christmas trees & fully stocked backpacks directly to the homes of selected households in need throughout the country. We believe EVERY FAMILY working to create a home & every child struggling to overcome difficult odds, deserves a Christmas tree and some joy.

This annual project, with a 2026 goal of shipping 1,000 Trees & special backpacks (See Below) made possible through the generosity of individuals, groups, and corporate donors.

Your donations are crucial to the continuation of this annual project, which provides hope and happiness to households facing economic need during the Christmas season.

The "Trees of Hope" program is also designed to recognize and reward families who have a student excelling in school, demonstrating positive community engagement, and facing economic need. A family, a young person who is trying; deserve to be gifted and celebrated!

Nominations to receive a tree began September 10, 2026, and will end on December 15, 2026.

The 'Trees of Hope' initiative is more than just a tree giveaway; it's a testament to the resilience and strength of communities," said Daniel Chapin, Founder of the Uvalde Foundation for Kids. "By providing these live trees, we are giving families the opportunity to come together, create new memories, and find a sense of peace and joy during the holidays.

AND It's a way for us to honor and celebrate our students who are doing amazing things, both in the classroom and in their communities - Reminding them that they are seen, valued, and supported."

Each selected family will receive a live, fresh-cut Christmas tree, a tree stand, and care instructions to help them nurture their new holiday centerpiece.

This year, 2026, in an effort to further support and inspire students, each recipient household will also receive a special fully stocked backpack for each child, containing the foundation's newly released "Peace Journal For Students," a gift card, and a special pen pal holiday note from a foundation student "Pen Pal." This exciting addition aims to provide educational tools and a personal touch of positive peer connection during the festive season.

This change in format from previous years allows the foundation to reach a wider audience nationwide
