The #HicksStrong Hug Mugs Program began with the goal of providing veterans and active duty military members with a tangible reminder that they are not alone in the form of a 20 ounce hand painted mug. Each mug is unique and created by dedicated volunteers. In the past two years 125 volunteers have created and delivered over 1000 Hug Mugs to anyone requesting one.
Inside each Hug Mug, HicksStrong includes a Hug Mug wallet card as a reminder that someone sent them a hug, as well as a Challenge Coin with HicksStrong’s contact information and inspirational phrases to remind them they are loved and not alone.
The Hug Mug Program creates an excellent opportunity for individual volunteers to provide a meaningful service and for coworkers and other volunteer groups to come together to support a local nonprofit organization.
This year our goal to to get over 500 Hug Mugs to military member across the county that need a reminder they are not alone.
