SUPPORTERS OF FAMILIES WITH SICKLE CELL DISEASE

Founded in 2004, Supporters of Families with Sickle Cell Disease, Inc. (SFSCD) is Oklahoma’s only statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to serving individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease, sickle cell trait, thalassemia, and related inherited blood disorders.

SFSCD works to improve the quality of life for children, adults, and families through education, advocacy, care coordination, family support, community outreach, and resource navigation. The organization is committed to increasing awareness and understanding of these lifelong genetic blood disorders while addressing the health, social, educational, and economic challenges faced by those impacted.

Through partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, policymakers, and families, SFSCD advocates for improved health access, patient-centered care, and supportive services that empower individuals and families to thrive. Serving communities across Oklahoma, SFSCD remains dedicated to strengthening systems of care, advancing awareness, and providing hope and support to those affected by sickle cell disease and related inherited blood disorders.
