About 35% of our students struggle with reading. They are receiving intervention supports from two, part-time Intervention Specialists and one part-time Dean of Students. Some students are supported individually in the classroom, some outside the classroom, and at times, there is group instruction.
These educators would like additional tools to support student learning. They are called "decodables" and the company they prefer is called "Heggerty". The total cost for seven classrooms is approximately $12,500. We've received $1,500 in donations so far from On Point Credit Union and Deschutes County. We need an additional $11,000 to complete our purchase.
