The Wings Programs, Inc. is the only Montana horse rescue to be certified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries! Verification means that the Wings Programs meets the criteria of a true equine sanctuary/rescue and is providing humane and responsible care of the animals. Wings Programs Inc is also holds a current Guidestar Gold Transparency rating.
Your tax-deductible donation makes a difference in the lives of homeless, neglected and senior horses. By supporting the Wings Programs Inc. you help rehabilitate and re-home these horses, and provide care for those needing sanctuary who cannot be adopted. Horses arrive with various injuries and health conditions. We develop a rehabilitation plan to improve these issues optimize their health . They s are assessed for behavior issues and previous training. Though all our horses are not ridable, we strive to have them be well-mannered and safe to handle. Adoptions and loving homes are our goal. However, it takes time and money to prepare a horse for a successful adoption. Please help us help these equines into a new forever home with a loving family.

Wings is a certified EAGALA Equine Assisted Psychotherapy program. The Eagala Model is a team approach that includes a licensed, credentialed Mental Health Professional, a qualified Equine Specialist, and horses working together with the client in an arena at all times. When inside the arena, all the work is done on the ground with the horses front and center, deliberately unhindered and never ridden, and allowed to interact with the client as they wish. This creates the space for the client, with the support of the professional facilitators, to reflect, project, and make deep connections. We focus on underserved populations such as Veterans, victims of abuse and low income children and families. Your contribution helps to not only care for the horses in the programs but also provides scholorships to participants unable to afford professional fees.
