Support Our Homeless And Elderly Veterans Who Are Food Insecure

Homeless and elderly veterans who are food insecure are most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus and other life-threatening diseases and illnesses. As an ALL-VOLUNTEER nonprofit charity, United Soldiers and Sailors of America - USASOA has an ongoing program: BOOTS ON THE GROUND, our monthly food collection drive to secure nonperishable food, toiletries, clothing, and more, which is then delivered directly to the Department of Veterans Affairs Homeless Shelter and Resource center for immediate distribution to our homeless and at-risk veterans. The VA Homeless Shelter and Resource Center also supports our elderly veterans who live on very meager incomes (some of whom depend on VA vouchers to pay their rent). These elderly veterans can access the donations we bring into the VA Shelter, thereby providing them with the dignity of a healthy meal. We cannot stress the urgency in which we need support from the American community, especially from our businesses and corporation. If everyone gave just a little, the impact would be enormous.
